Welcome to Brisbane Sailing Squadron

The Brisbane Sailing Squadron was established in 1921 and now celebrating our 105th year of sailing on the Brisbane river. 

The club is a volunteer run, family orientated club offering high quality sailing in Lasers, 16 Foot Skiffs, 125, Optimist and Sabot dinghies and a comprehensive Junior Sailing Program for 7-16 year olds from beginners to advanced.

The club is located at Vic Lucas Park in Bulimba on the southern bank of the Brisbane River.

The skiff nationals were held at Belmont 16ft Skiff Club last week, on the beautiful waters of Lake Macquarie. The series threw up a range of different conditions for our sailors, from strong north-easterlies and light to moderate easterlies, to gusty and shifty westerlies in near-40 degree heat – all followed by a cool southerly change for the last race that produced top-end big rig conditions. · Read more

On our last day of sailing in 2025 our new rescue boat was officially christened the "Noel Manahan" by our club Patron Pat Manahan, state member for parliament Di Farmer and members of the Manahan family in a special ceremony on the front lawn of the club. · Read more
